Astfel, apropierea alegerilor prezidenţiale îl determină pe Traian Băsescu să înceapă să atace Guvernul, pentru că dânsul crede că doar aşa va putea puncta în campania electorală. De acum înainte, Guvernul va deveni calul de bătaie al preşedintelui care nu va avea nici o problemă, din dorinţa de a puncta în ochii electoratului, să-l umilească pe Emil Boc şi compania sa în perioada următoare. Asumându-şi de acum încolo pe faţă rolul de prim ministru al României , preşedintele vrea să se prezinte electoratului român ca singurul om politic capabil să scape ţara de problemele ei economice. Noi, P.N.L. am atras atenţia în nenumărate rânduri asupra situaţiei în care se află România, am atras atenţia asupra faptului că optimismul guvernului afişat înainte de alegerile europene este doar o cacealma pentru a linişti populaţia. Acum când preşedintele dă tot mai multe semne că a face mari descoperiri suntem îndreptăţiţi să punem câteva întrebări: Cine i-a furnizat lui Traian Băsescu datele pe baza cărora şi-a formulat verdictul că Romania e în recesiune ? Banca Naţională,. Ministerul finanţelor ? De ce nu s-au ştiut toate aceste date până acum? Guvernul nu le-a ştiut ? De ce Guvernul dădea asigurări în plină campanie pentru alegerile europarlamentare că România îşi revine din criză, iar acum aflăm că intrăm în recesiune ? Ultimele declaraţii ale preşedintelui nu reprezintă doar o imixtiune gravă în treburile guvernului ci reflectă şi un mod foarte straniu al preşedintelui de raportare la câteva probleme ecomice şi sociale iar când spunem asta ne gândim în primul rând la viziunea lui Traian Băsescu asupra relaţiei care trebuie să existe între sectorul financiar-bancar şi piaţa românească. În privinţa imaginii pe care o are preşedintele asupra sectorului bancar trebuie să spunem că dobânzile nu pot fi fixate prin decret, ci în funcţie de raportul între economisire şi consum, prin concurenţă liberă, manifestată în sistemul bancar. Credem apoi ca “Şcoala” la care preşedintele face în ultimul timp tot mai multe trimiteri nu se poate apropia mai mult de piaţa muncii, atâta vreme cât şcoala românească continuă să funcţioneze pe cu totul alte principii decât cele ale cererii, ofertei şi concurenţei.
